In 1990 Cornerstone delivered its first product - the Transaction Delivery System (TDS), a client/server product for HP NonStop (formerly Compaq/Tandem) computer systems. The huge success of the Transaction Delivery System brought client/server computing to high-volume online transaction processing. HP NonStop Remote Server Call (RSC) was developed from Cornerstone's TDS. RSC combines the power and convenience of graphical desktop systems with the performance and dependability of NonStop servers. Taking an intuitive step forward, Cornerstone developed a Message Oriented Middleware (MOM) product suite for deploying client/server applications without rewriting connectivity components. Independent of platforms, databases, and network protocols, application components are connected providing a fast track for integrating Web technologies. These products target distributed computing environments including wireless, HP-UX, Solaris, and all Windows platforms. With the meteoric rise of the Web in business applications, Cornerstone identified a need for multiple-access NonStop technologies that utilized traditional devices as well as thin clients and wireless technology. Cornerstone developed the Remote Server Object Model (RSOM). RSOM allows Web-enabled devices access to NonStop systems without requiring an application installed on each client. RSOM combined with NonStop Remote Server Call/MP and NonStop systems creates a high-performance, dependable, and scalable foundation for building e-commerce and e-business applications. Web browsers on any platform can access NonStop-based data through an RSOM-enabled Web server. From a history strong with committed effort and dedicated service, Cornerstone looks to a future of delivering high performance NonStop solutions to an increasingly Web-based business community. Currently, Cornerstone's products are installed at over 2000 customer sites with 6000 product licenses worldwide. |
